Welcome to Bigfoot in Berkshire! I’m Daljeet Jutla, Bigfoot Chieftain for the county of Berkshire.
I am passionate about helping children fulfill their potential, and firmly believe that the arts are one of the most effective ways to engage and educate children.
Bigfoot believe in empowering children by inspiring them by the stories they choose to tell, and providing them with key life skills (public speaking, sharing ideas, taking risks, working as a team, and thinking outside the box), that will go onto benefit them in their adult lives. I feel privileged that i am in a position to help schools and children achieve these goals, and within Berkshire schools i would like to see children take the leadership and devise theatre that is relevant to their lives.
As the Bigfoot Cheiftain of Berkshire it is my responsibility to ensure that the most creative, dynamic, inspiring and engaging “Bigfooters” are sent to your schools to work with your pupils. Therefore, you can be sure that the best trained actors, directors, dancers, choreographers, musicians, circus specialists, physical theatre practitioners, filmmakers, designers, painters and poets in the land would be sent to your school to inspire your pupils.
Bigfoot Berkshire have worked on a range of projects, including after school clubs, Creative Literacy workshops, BlackHistory Month workshops, Transition and Early Years Literacy workshops. We have also designed exciting bespoke projects for schools based around Graffiti/Urban art, Street Dance and Beat Boxing.
In addition to this we have developed creative maths workshops in schools and have introduced specialist performing arts projects such as Circus, Rhythm & Percussion and Puppetry skills to students! This highlights the breadth of programmes that our Bigfooter’s can provide and I plan for many more of our local schools to benefit from our vast range of exciting and innovative programmes.
I Bigfoot Cheiftain of Berkshire, and my wonderful team of Bigfooters look forward to working with your school!
“I was really impressed with your work today with the kids. They were engaged and participated in the Q&A’s. They were not bored despite it being mostly teacher led. I loved the way drama was used to pass on important messages and I will be using it in my science lessons. Thank you!”
