Adrian Benn

As a child Adrian decided he wanted to become a ‘Scuba diving-Astronaut-Cowboy’, but after realising that there might be a few small problems with this, he decided to follow his second choice of becoming a teacher. After having some incredibly inspirational teachers within his life, Adrian came to realise that what he wanted to do was leave a positive mark on the next generation of young minds.

Adrian came to Bigfoot in 2008 after specialising in using creative arts with young people and the community as part of the Mdrama degree at Kent University. Adrian started as a freelance facilitator; bringing his passion and experience in Street dance, music (Guitar, Piano, Drums, Bass, Djembe and singing) beat boxing and rapping to the company. Six months later Adrian joined the team after being offered the full time position of Facilitator in Residence.

Adrian delivers a huge range of our programmes, and his enthusiasm and outgoing nature has made him a firm favourite with many schools. But don’t take our word for it have a look at what schools have said about him:

‘Adrian Benn was absolutely BRILLIANT!!!! He had a hall filled to the brim with children and staff completely engaged’

‘Adrian was outstanding - teachers, children and parents have all commented to me about him and the way he led the sessions.’

‘Adrian was wonderful with the children! Many children and staff said his assembly was the best they had seen!’

‘We were SO impressed with Adrian; the workshops were a good mix of fun with a serious message and behaviour management was never an issue as all children were engaged in the tasks.’

‘Adrian from Bigfoot in yesterday for the workshops and assembly and he was great! He was really good with the children (lively and engaging) and they warmed to him instantly.’
